The advantages of lift monitoring system "VEZHA" over other existing analogues. |

In an effort to overcome the acute problem of modern lift dispatching system absence on the territory of the CIS there have been developed and implemented several different systems. For example, in Kharkiv three such systems were developed and tested at the request of the municipal enterprise "Kharkovgorlift".
During the whole time of work in the central dispatching office the system "VEZHA" was constantly improved according to the proposals of municipal enterprise "Kharkovgorlift" and the dispatchers’ wishes. As a result of this meticulous work the lift monitoring system "VEZHA" was obtained, the reliability of which was proven by UkrSEPRO certificate Nr. 023223. The lift monitoring system "VEZHA" (hereinafter referred to as VEZHA) has a number of key technical advantages compared with other existing analogues:
- All elevators are constantly online with the system server, which ensures immediate notification of a dispatcher of any off-normal situations.
- VEZHA gets all the data from the elevators automatically. Analogues are often enquiry systems: the bigger part of the data is not received by a dispatcher until he sends a specific request to the lift for its condition.
- To transfer data VEZHA uses the channel GPRS, passing to SMS only in emergency situations, when the communication channel GPRS is for some reason unavailable. Most of the analogues also declare the work via GPRS, while in fact they work with SMS. The advantage of the system "VEZHA" in this case shows itself in reliability and speed of obtaining information about the elevators, as well as in alternatives of delivering information and connection.
- VEZHA uses a single gateway (GPRS-transceiver) with one SIM-card for the whole block of flats, regardless of the number of elevators in the building, which positively affects both the price of the equipment and further maintenance. Other systems use one SIM-card for each elevator.
- VEZHA is a system prepared for expansion. That means that in order to connect any sensors or/and process execution modules to it no changes to the operating system are required – connection to the existing CAN is enough.
- VEZHA tells the dispatcher the number of the floor on which the cabin is, which significantly increases the information content of the system and facilitates the work of repair crews. Many other systems do not provide such information.
- VEZHA provides such statistics as: the operating time of drive winch, cabin downtime, the number of opening cabin doors, covered floors number for the period, etc.
- VEZHA controls the voltage on the phases and phase imbalance. In case of these values’ overpassing beyond the permissible boundaries the system can make its own decision to disable the elevator and notify the dispatcher about that.
- The software of the system "VEZHA" is built on the principle of client-server. Thus it is possible to rapidly expand the number of workstations in a local network, provide operator’s mutual aid, to connect other services for the control of its parameters, etc.
No doubt that "VEZHA" is a system of new generation! The advantages of this development is so obvious that the municipal enterprise "Kharkovgorlift" has decided to keep connecting Kharkiv elevators to automatic wireless system "Vezha"
And the last thing: for the normal functioning of "VEZHA" there is no need to send mobile teams to restart "hanged up" equipment in lift motor rooms ...
